VICTORIA BECKHAM

Victoria Beckham was born in 1974 in Harlow, United Kingdom, to a hairdresser and an electronic engineer. 


As a child, Beckham decided to start a music career. She entered Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom to study modeling and dance in 1991 and afterward attended St. Mary's High School in Cheshunt. Eventually, she got into a music band called "Persuasion".


In 1994, Beckham got into the "Spice Girls", a band that became a major success in the music industry. In August 2000, she started her solo music career.


Beckham's fashion design career started in 2003, when she launched a capsule collection, with the main focus on jeans, for Rock & Republic. Another collaboration with Saks Fifth Avenue, also featuring a denim collection, happened in 2007. 

 

In September 2008, the "Victoria Beckham" label was born. In 2011, another label, “Victoria by Victoria Beckham”, was introduced, which was lower priced and initially successful with its dresses, afterward expanding to luxury handbags. 


In 2011, Beckham received the Designer Brand of the Year Award at the British Fashion Awards. In 2017, she was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for her achievements in the fashion industry.
